Manny Pacquiao expresses interest in The Dark Zone – December 2013
MANNY PACQUIAO has recently expressed interest in playing a co-starring role in THE DARK ZONE. Manny made his debut as a boxer at age 16. He has been fighting at the top levels of competition and given some of the most sensational performances in the ring in recent years. He is a national hero in his native Philippines—the entire country of over 96 million people comes to a virtual standstill to watch whenever he fights. His nickname is “PacMan” and he is also known in many circles as a singer, actor and congressman. In fact, it has become something of a tradition with the Filipino “Pound-for-Pound” king that the week before he fights he bounces on Kimmel’s overstuffed chair. The last time he was on Kimmel he sang “Sometimes When We Touch” by Dan Hill. THE DARK ZONE has been in talks with Pacquiao’s team since August of 2013. Recently, we received word that he is interested in playing a role as one of the bad guys in the film.
