RICHARD HATCH plays a co-starring role in THE DARK ZONE, as Lt. Dan Parker. Richard Hatch is an internationally known actor, director, writer, teacher and motivational speaker who has sustained recognition in such series as All My Children, The Streets of San Francisco (for which he won Germany’s Bravo Award, equivalent to an Emmy Award), and his role as Captain Apollo in the original Battlestar Galactica series (for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination). Richard’s accomplishments as an author include seven original Battlestar Galactica novels. He also edited and contributed to So Say We All an unauhtorized compendium of thoughts and opinions on Battlestar Galactica. Richard is presently working on his novel, The Great War of Magellan, which he conceptualized years ago and filmed between 2000-2001 as a professional presentation trailer reel; The Great War of Magellan is slated to be published in early 2014.
LILI BORDÁN was born in Manhattan to Hungarian actress Iren Bordan and Father Gabor Szerdahelyi, Lili was shy until she found her voice as General LaFayette in a 4th grade play about the American Revolution. She began studying acting at 16 under the mentorship of Susan Batson and upon completing her studies in literature and philosophy from Sarah Lawrence College, Lili moved to Europe to be closer to her family and to play the lead in her first Hungarian feature “Kinder Garden.” She moved back to the states and played in guest-starring roles on shows like ER and Law and Order: SVU. Her award winning performance in Moth Theatre Company’s production of David Hare’s “The Blue Room” won her a Scenie award for best featured actress in a drama or intimate play. JIM HANKS‘ first lead role was as Jeeter Buford in the film Buford’s Beach Bunnies. Jim’s brother Tom Hanks was considered a strong candidate for the role but was unavailable. Wishing to earn the role based upon his own abilities, Jim auditioned as “Jim Matthews”, using just his first and a modification of his middle name. While production noted his “resemblance to Tom Hanks”, he won the role based upon his own comedic and acting skills and his true relationship to Tom was not revealed until paperwork was completed. In 1995 A Current Affair revealed that Tom Hanks had created the mannerisms for the character of Forrest Gump in the film of the same name based upon the simpleton mannerisms earlier created by Jim for the role of Jeeter in 1993, including Forrest’s “now-famous jerky run”. …more…
In the 1985’s, BILL MOSELEY picked up horror film notoriety through a series of cult classic films, including Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. His rise to further cult film popularity reached new levels in 2003, when he signed on as Otis B. Driftwood in a series of Rob Zombie films and has continued to work on other notable films by Zombie. FIONA DOURIF starred in the 2013 Curse of Chucky, where her dad Brad Dourif has been a voice of the horrific chucky doll now since 1988. She’s also known for her work in Deadwood, True Blood, The Master and a new movie called Fear Clinic with Robert England
MICHAEL REAVES has written and produced literally hundreds of scripts for various TV series, including Star Trek: The Next Generation, Twilight Zone, Sliders, The Flash, Father Dowling Mysteries, and Disney’s Gargoyles (the only animated TV series ever to be reviewed in The New York Times). He won an Emmy and was nominated for a second Emmy as a story editor and writer on Batman: The Animated Series. He also won a Howie Award for his H.P. Lovecraft-related work in film, as well as the prestigious Hampton’s Award. Michael is a member of the WGA. Michael recently completed a successful Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a film he wrote and will direct called Blood Kiss.
STEVE PERRY (not the rock star) is the co-author of Dark Zone and quite often writes in partnership with Michael Reaves. He has written several novels that have landed on the New York Times Best Seller list and has written several animated teleplays and screenplays. Steve is a member of the WGA. He is known for Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire (1996) | Batman: The Animated Series(1992–1995) | Spiral Zone (1987– ) and many other works. PHILLIP DARLINGTON will direct The Dark Zone and has been working as an actor-writer and film technician for over 25 years, appearing in such films as Tony Scott’s Domino, Touchstone’s True Identity and Christopher Coppola’s Gunfighter. He received Union status performing a stunt on James Cameron’s The Abyss. His television work also includes The West Wing, The O.C., C.S.I. New York, Boston Legal, Yes, Dear, and Threshold. In 2001, he produced a television pilot for a home improvement show called Kenny’s Korner. He has also produced a short film called Voracious in conjunction with a feature film script that he also wrote. As a producer Mr. Darlington honed his craft working in all aspects of production, including Special Effects, Grip and Lighting (Supervisory) and in development at Disney, Paramount and Warner Bros, managed a production company called Triune Entertainment and worked underwater for four and a half months as James Cameron’s assistant monitoring his air and viewfinder equipment. BEN KUFRIN is the son of a successful commercial still photographer in Chicago. Since becoming a Director of Photography, his work has taken him to locations on five continents and he has been featured in numerous high-profile publications. Over the years his cinematography in television movies and particularly independent features has given Kufrin a diverse body of work. He has earned best picture prizes for many of the films he has shot. His lensing of the hip-hop music-driven urban drama “Filly Brown” brought huge recognition when it premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Starring newcomer Gina Rodriguez, Lou Diamond Phillips and Edward James Olmos, it enjoyed a nationwide theatrical release the following year by LionsGate and was also one of the top-grossing indie films that year. DENNEY PIERCE is a stunt coordinator for THE DARK ZONE. Denney has been acting and performing stunts in the Hollywood Film and Television industry for over 27 years. He has also Stunt Coordinated such films as Hacks, The Big Fall, American History X, No Tomorrow, Funkey Monkey, Kites. He recently did some additional 2nd Unit Directing on Fast and the Furious 6 and Stunt Coordinated for the feature film of Veronica Mars, as well as performed as a Stunt Actor in Captain America 2. Pierce has also stunt coordinated for the television shows It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Veronica Mars, Silk Stalkings, Angel Falls. Denney is very instrumental as a lead performer and will help us with a great many contacts relating to the world of stunt coordination and powerful union actors for THE DARK ZONE. In 2001, he won the Taurus Award for Me, Myself and Irene and has been nominated for several other stunt and performance awards throughout the years. Denney is a member of DGA / SAG/ AFTRA INTERNATIONAL STUNT ASSOCIATION.
MANNY PACQUIAO has expressed interest in playing a co-starring role in THE DARK ZONE. Manny made his debut as a boxer at age 16. He has been fighting at the top levels of competition and given some of the most sensational performances in the ring in recent years. He is a national hero in his native Philippines—the entire country of over 96 million people comes to a virtual standstill to watch whenever he fights. His nickname is “PacMan” and he is also known in many circles as a singer, actor and congressman. In fact, It has become something of a tradition with the Filipino “Pound-for-Pound” king that the week before he fights he bounces on Kimmel’s overstuffed chair. The last time he was on Kimmel he sang “Sometimes When We Touch” by Dan Hill. THE DARK ZONE has been in talks with Pacquiao’s team since August of 2013. Recently, we received word that he is interested in playing a role as one of the bad guys in the film.

MARC SCOT ZICREE has over 32 years in the film and television industry and is an award winning writer, director and producer, has a Bachelor of Arts in painting, sculpture and graphic arts from UCLA, and a Master of Fine Art from Lowell Darling’s School of Fine Art. In 1977 he started a 5-year process to write his famous book “The Twilight Zone Companion” interviewing dozens of writers and actors from the series, screening episodes, reading teleplays and transcribing tapes. Marc has written 15 screenplays and over 100 teleplays. He has been a guest on over 100 radio and TV shows, including “The Today Show,” “All Things Considered” and “Entertainment Tonight.” He currently writes bestselling novels, writes and produces TV series, network pilots and feature films, and has also been a commentator on NPR’s Morning Edition. He lives in West Hollywood, California, with his wife, writer-producer Elaine Zicree, and their vile little dog Squirrel.
NEIL JOHNSON has over 21 years experience as a motion picture director/producer and is currently directing at least 3 movies and several music videos each year. He has an established distributor relationship. He best known for his long association with heavy metal band Manowar, and for directing and writing Science Fiction Films. While not well known in public spheres, he is regarded by a few people as a pioneer in digital film-making.
